ESC FUN FRAMES
FUN FRAMES are intended to create an opportunity for collectors to exhibit without formal guidelines. For many, it is a first time experience which allows the individuals creativity to shine with a display tied to a brief explanation of the exhibit.
It's all about having fun while putting it together without rules to follow. As such it may result in future submissions. Exhibits at stamp shows are alway a favourite attraction for collectors and visitors.
THERE ARE A COUPLE OF WAYS TO EXHIBIT WITHIN A FRAME
-
One is by utilizing 8 1/2" x 11" sheets that fit into a 3 ring binder. A frame will hold up to a maximum of 16 pages (placed in slots horizontally across the frame in 4 rows). (fig 1)
-
The second option for displaying a Fun Frame is to utilize a precision cut "art sheet" that fits exactly into the frame's surface. These sheets are free, compliments of the ESC. (fig 2)
Once a sheet is received it needs to be flattened and then the "fun" begins! Use the full sheet to capture your creativity. It is suggested postcard or cover sleeves be used to house your items for display. Two-way tape is recommended, which is placed on the back of the sleeve then "stuck" down on the sheet.
When bringing your Fun Frame to the ESC Show, please have it placed between two large pieces of cardboard to keep from bending or creasing.
